Perplexity can connect to Orbit through its custom remote connectors, so your research in Perplexity reads from and writes to the same Orbit brain as your other tools.
Custom connectors require a paid Perplexity plan (Pro, Max, or Enterprise). They aren’t available on the free tier.

Steps

  1. In Perplexity, open Settings → Connectors (custom / remote connectors).
  2. Add a new connector pointing at your Orbit MCP URL:
  3. Save and enable it.

What happens

Perplexity reads your active decisions and knowledge before a task, and files its answers and findings to your Orbit Vault — the same Vault your Claude, Codex, and other agents use. Cited research done in Perplexity becomes context everything else can build on.

If the connection is rejected

Some Perplexity setups expect an OAuth discovery endpoint (/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server) during connector setup. If your connection is refused, that’s the usual fix — reach out via the community and we’ll help get it wired up.
