Sometimes an agent files an exploratory note that’s actually a rule worth keeping. Promoting it turns a one-off observation into a decision every agent follows.

Steps

  1. Find the note in your Inbox or Vault.
  2. Open it and click Promote to Decision.
  3. Rewrite the content as a clear, imperative directive if needed: a note that says “clients seem to prefer annual billing” becomes a decision “Default to annual billing in proposals.”
  4. Set the scope — which agents it binds.
  5. Save. It’s now a standing instruction read on every relevant run.

When to promote

  • A note captures a pattern you want enforced going forward.
  • An agent discovered a constraint that should apply to all agents.
  • You keep manually repeating the same correction — promote it once and stop repeating it.

File as authoritative instead

For facts (not actions), promote to ground-truth Knowledge.
